Recalbox OS est une distribution logicielle gratuite et open source, dédiée au retrogaming, et basée sur une version originale de Linux1.
Programmée à l’origine pour les cartes Raspberry pi, la version 6.1.1 est désormais disponible pour les cartes Odroid et les systèmes PC 32/64 bits.
Depuis la version 4, la distribution émule une cinquantaine de consoles et de systèmes d’exploitation, via piFBA et RetroArch, ainsi qu’EmulationStation23, en tant qu’interface graphique multiplateforme avec navigation par contrôleur. Enfin Raspberry Pi NOOBS sert de système d’installation/recovery.

         Les OS Retropie et batocera sont aussi compatible avec la gameboyzero.

 

1- Installation de recalbox :

Ce tutoriel est compatible avec la version recalbox 7.2.1

Vous pouvez graver l’image sur une carte sd 16, 32, 64 go …. Vous devrez néanmoins configurer recalbox en suivant ce tutoriel pour qu’il fonctionne dans votre gameboy zero .

Si vous souhaitez vous éviter le paramétrage, une image recalbox 7.2.1 pour carte sd 32 go est disponible ici :

L’image est préconfigurée pour des contrôles par GPIO et une sortie vidéo analogique. Vous n’aurez pas à vous soucier de la configuration, juste d’importer vos jeux (ROM) et BIOS

Gravez le fichier image avec ETCHER sur une carte SD sandisk 32 go, il fonctionnera directement sur votre kit complet Gameboy zero

Configuration:

Recalbox est configuré par défaut avec une sortie vidéo HDMI et les contrôles par manette USB.
Vous devez maintenant modifier le fichier config.txt pour avoir une sortie vidéo analogique correspondant à l’ écran TFT .
Ainsi que le fichier recalbox.conf pour activer la reconnaissance des commandes du PCB par le GPIO et configurer la sortie video des émulateurs

2-Modification  du fichier config.txt

La sortie vidéo analogique se modifie dans ce fichier.

Insérez votre carte sd avec recalbox dans votre PC.
Avec l’explorateur windows sélectionnez la carte SD
éditez le fichier config.txt en utilisant Notepad++

Par défaut , la sortie vidéo est programmée en HDMI
Vous devez modifier le fichier pour avoir une sortie composite NTSC 60htz.

Commentez la ligne:

Ajoutez ces lignes:

Pour la sortie audio

3-Modification du fichier recalbox.conf

Plusieurs méthodes sont possible. (recalbox manager, explorateur windows, winSCP…)
pour cette partie, nous ferons au plus simple avec recalboxmanager.
Vous devez tout d’abord connecter votre recalbox en réseau (wifi)

Configuration du wifi:

Lancer recalbox
ouvrez menu principal (bouton start sur le menu emulstation).
puis options réseau
entrez votre SSID (nom de votre box internet) et votre clé wifi
valider et vérifier le statut de la connection.

.

Sur votre PC, ouvrez votre navigateur internet (chrome, firefox…)
Taper l’adresse http//IP_de_votre_recalbox/ ou http//recalbox/ dans la barre de navigation.

Cliquez sur l’onglet recalbox.conf

Cherchez la ligne :

Allow a specific resolution for ES only from the command : tvservice -m [MODE]
## Leave commented for the default usual behaviour

4- Import de ROMS et BIOS :

Gameboyzero.fr ne fourni pas de ROM ou BIOS

Seul les explications pour l’importation sont disponibles.
Avec une recherche simple et de bons mots clef vous trouverez aisément des SET complet de ROM et BIOS pour RECALBOX sur google et youtube
Ainsi que de nombreux tuto software recalbox.
Nous développerons uniquement une méthode d’import par recalbox manager et une méthode par l’explorateur windows.

-Par recalbox manager

Connectez recalbox en wifi.
Sur votre PC, ouvrez votre navigateur internet.
Taper l’adresse IP de votre recalbox ou http//recalbox/ dans la barre de navigation.
Allez dans l’onglet bios
Vous apercevez le nom des Bios nécessaires au fonctionnement des émulateurs.
Cliquer sur uploader les bios
Déplacer vos fichier de bios dans recalbox manager
Leur validité est également indiqué (par une crois rouge si non valide)

Pour ajouter des ROMS, cliquez sur l’onglet ROMS :

Faites glisser vos ROMS dans les fichiers correspondant.

– par l’explorateur windows

Connecter votre recalbox en wifi
Sur votre PC cliquez sur l’onglet « réseau » dans l’explorateur windows
Puis cliquez sur recalbox

login: root   Mot de passe: recalboxroot

Cliquez sur « share » :

Vous avez accès aux dossier BIOS et ROMS :

Vous pouvez copier/coller vos BIOS et ROMS dans les dossiers correspondants.
